Let me tell you a little bit about Lee and Emily. We fist met this couple when Daniel started working at Barista Parlor X Golden Sound. Lee was the Quality Control Manager and Emily was the General Manager at the time. They are the type of people that make you feel warm welcome, and cared about. Lee is especially good at listening; I always feel like he cares about what I'm saying whenever we are in conversation. Emily is the queen homemaker (amongst other things). I'll never forget how welcome I felt when they invited us over for dinner one time. She wasn't frantically running around trying to finish things up; she had everything prepared and the table was already set. We didn't feel like a burden or bother, instead we felt welcomed into their home with open arms.
Daniel and I always joke around about how these two are "such a dad" or "such a mom". And this isn't a bad thing. We say it in good fun, but there is so much truth to it. I've never met two people more fit for parenthood than Lee and Emily. They are marked by wisdom, kindness, and love. They have an apparent love for the Lord and of others. They are gracious and selfless. They are quick to love and slow to anger. By the grace of God, they are great people with great hearts.
So why am I telling you all of this about Lee and Emily and their aptness for parenthood? They are beginning the process of adopting a child. They have started a GoFundMe campaign to raise the $25,000 they need to adopt. If you want to know more about Lee and Emily and why they are adopting, I'd encourage you head over to their page and read about their story. It is truly moving.
Below are some photos I took of the Sill's to help promote their adoption. In case you can't tell, I love in-home sessions and this one goes down as one of my favorites.
