When fellow lady small-business owners Elizabeth and Jessica told me about their latest project, The Ember Circle, I knew I had to be a part of it.
First, let me tell you a little bit about the brains behind it all. Elizabeth is the owner of Stockroom Vintage, Nashville's first vintage rental and styling company (and definitely one of the best in the business). I haven't known Elizabeth for long, but she is a powerhouse of a woman and business owner and is such a joy to be around and work with. She loves all things vintage and is eager to share all her antique store finds with you to make your event or set just how you envisioned. She's the kind of lady you can trust to make everything look perfect because of her ample experience and passion for her work.
Jessica is the owner of SOULflowers, and one of my personal favorite floral designers in Nashville. Originally from Chicago, she has brought her urban style to Nashville and it has me swooning. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she is passionate, driven, and sweet as can be. After just a few minutes of talking to her you feel like old friends-- she just knows how to make you feel comfortable and at ease.
These two wonder-women teamed up to create The Ember Circle. So what exactly is The Ember Circle? To put it simply, it is a retreat for creatives and makers to relax, recharge, grow, and learn. This is a gathering for women that want to learn from each other and encourage each other. Attendees will learn skills like floral design, how to create impactful tablescapes, styling photos for instagram, and modern calligraphy-- not to mention three days and two nights at a picturesque property in Leiper's Fork, TN and seasonal meals, cocktails, and brews. But the best part, in my opinion, is the opportunity to converse openly with fellow business owners and creatives. Not only will you be able to talk with the other ladies on the retreat, but Jessica and Elizabeth, as well as the other instructors, will be an open book to you answering any questions you may have about the business.
I am so excited to have been asked to be a part of this retreat. Elizabeth and I will be instructing a workshop on tips and tricks for successful and aesthetically pleasing instagram posts. I will also be providing complimentary head shots for all the ladies in attendance. Additionally, I will be there for the duration of the retreat and would love to answer any questions you may have about photography or owning a business. I am excited to encourage and be encouraged by all the incredible women that will be a part of the ember circle. I hope to see you there. For more information and registration, click here.
Recently, Jessica, Elizabeth, and I came together to take some photos that capture the essence of The Ember Circle. Here are some of the images from our time together. I'd like to give a big thanks to Ready Set Music for allowing us to shoot in their beautiful space-- it was a pleasure meeting you all!
